Declan struggles to fit in with his new friend group on the night before they all split off for college. An impromptu liquor heist reveals what he's willing to do for his new friends and what they are willing to do for him.
Diversity.
That’s the key word. When making a film about high schoolers, it was important to me to accurately depict today’s world. While Last Summer Night draws inspiration from films like The Breakfast Club, it also expands on the representation on screen. A core filmmaking principle of mine is to make sure audiences feel connected, represented, and accurately portrayed on screen - there’s something for everyone!
