My friend Jacob wrote this script based on his own personal experience coming out of the closet. I feel honored that he's trusted me with bringing his story to the screen. My goal is to help LGBTQ+ audience members see themselves on the screen. Jacob incorporates his own observations of today's world: the uncomfortable nature of coming out for the first time, the unfortunate assumption by most of society that people are heterosexual until proven otherwise, and the understated importance of platonic friendship. My top priority with this film was to work with the actors to highlight the subtle emotions that are inherent when two close friends have a conflict.
